Heritage Open Day
September 14 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pmFree
Explore the Museum and discover the story of the Huguenots as part of this free national festival.
Did you know that one in six English people may be descended from Huguenots? Our volunteers will be on hand to talk about our family history research service, though please note that it will be a very busy day so we are unlikely to be able to do any research on the day.
Our sister charity, The French Hospital will also be open, a few doors down on Rochester High Street, offering the opportunity to explore the Hugeunots’ Garden in its grounds. The French Hospital was founded in 1718 in London to support Huguenots in need and moved to Rochester in 1959. Its collections are at the heart of our Museum.
We will update this page nearer the time with the full day’s programme.
