Refugees: Lives in Transition

April 28 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Join Fawzia Nabi-Worsley from Kent Refugee Action Network (KRAN) to find out more about the experience of modern refugees escaping war and persecution, seeking a safer life in the UK.

KRAN is an independent charity supporting young asylum seekers and refugees, many of whom have come to this county unaccompanied by an adult.

Museum Director, Dinah Winch, will introduce the talk with some reflections on the history of the Huguenots, who introduced the word ‘refugee’ into the English language when they came in large numbers from the late 1600s onwards.

Price includes admission to the Museum.
