Postponed – Special exhibition: Phiz The Huguenot who drew Dickens

This exhibition is postponed until it is safe for the museum to open.
A display of the drawings and prints by artist Phiz, who worked with Dickens and other authors to bring their stories to life.

Hablot Knight Browne, better known as ‘Phiz’, helped Dickens create some of his most memorable characters, from Sam Weller to David Copperfield, illustrating key novels over 23 years. Phiz was the descendant of Huguenots who anglicised their name to Browne early in the 18th century.

Normal admission to the Museum applies.
